Eleanor M. Timmerman - April 9, 2003

The funeral of Eleanor M. Timmerman, 83, of 632 W. Fifth St., Minonk, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Minonk. The Rev. Richard Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home Minonk Chapel and for one hour before the service Monday at the church.

Mrs. Timmerman died at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday (April 9, 2003) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.

She was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Manlius, the daughter of Fayette and Pearle Johnson Richards. She married Junior H. Timmerman on Sept. 20, 1941, in rural Dana. He died Feb. 15, 1977.

Survivors include two sons, Harlan (Janice) Timmerman, Minonk; and Gerald Timmerman, Bellflower, Calif.; a granddaughter, Carrie (Todd) Huenecke, Aurora; and three brothers, Harold (Lois) Richards and Eldon (Jean) Richards, both of Princeton; and Russell Richards, Seiville, Tenn. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Timmerman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Minonk and the Women's Missionary Society of the church. She was a former school teacher and also a former member of the Home Extension. She and her husband farmed for many years in rural Dana.
